You’re becoming a bit of a name for yourself in the horror world – does it bother you that people associate you primarily with the genre?
I’ve done more than just horror but I truly enjoy the genre. For me, it’s all about the story and the characters and the people involved. I love working with great, creative folks.
Do you think it’s time horror was considered more seriously, particularly when it comes to Awards shows?
Perhaps, there have been some good awards given to horror films, and there are horror dedicated festivals and conventions so the world is very well aware that there is an audience out there.
As a fan of horror, how did the loss of Wes Craven affect you?
Was truly sad. He was a real legend in the world of horror. It’s unfortunate that we lost him at a fairly young age. Death is something that happens 100% of the time with everyone and it never gets easier.
After doing so many straight horror films, was Sharknado : Heart of Sharkness a bit more fun? Some relief?
Yes. It was nice to act in a light hearted comedy and be able to have some fun and act totally ridiculous. I enjoy the acting so it was cool to do.
Can you tease us on what we can expect in this new one?
