If you’re going to read as much as possible, then you need to work on making it a strong habit. Many people simply haven’t gotten into the habit of reading. Do you start a book with the best of intentions, only to put it down after a day or two and fail to pick it back up? You’re not alone. Below, you’ll find advice on making reading your strongest habit so you can learn, grow, and enjoy stories!
Read Just One Page A Day
Sometimes, a chapter can feel too out of reach, so simply tell yourself that you’re going to read one page a day. You can carry on after the one page if you like, or you can stop. What matters is you do it every day so that it becomes a habit. If you skip a day by accident, never skip a second one.
Carry A Book Wherever You Go
The people who read the most always have a book with them. They read them on public transport, when waiting at the doctors, and anywhere else they can. It’s all about choosing the book instead of your phone. Audiobooks are even more portable, and you can get through so many more with them!
Read Books You Love
You’re only going to want to stick to reading if you know what you love. You shouldn’t read anything anybody else tells you to read if you don’t enjoy it. You can abandon a book if you’re just not getting into it – don’t waste your time on books you don’t like!
Using the library can be a great way to read as many books as possible. Why not visit famous libraries while you’re there? The infographic below can help!
